16th December A perfect day. Mozart with Daniel-Ben Pienaar this morning (see Wilton's Music Hall link), walking home-Bloomsbury, Clerkenwell, Smithfield to Wapping, conversation, and now back to evening Corrette scordatura preludes and this view, of the delicate original finger board of the 1760 Chappuy which is offering such insight into these pieces

(15th December 2015) A new project begins, bringing together an astonishing and immaculate violin by Chappuy and the L’école d’Orphée (1738) by Michel Corrette. I will post more about this in the next few weeks.
