(16th October 2015). A wonderful afternoon of coffee and conversation with my dear friend and collaborator Kenneth Hesketh. I premiered a wonderful piece of his for violin and wind a number of years ago, and am planning on bringing the new version of that piece into the centre of my ‘Mozart Project’.

Ken is an overflowing river of ideas and inspiration. The conversation reeled from alchemy, to instrumentation, to DNA, to memory and loss, to Sisyphus, collaboration, Enlightenment, language, Richter, the Bauhaus, fueled by good coffee, and in my case, the energy from playing Mozart with Daniel Ben Pienaar and coaching Schubert this morning! Plans are coming into focus for various new projects…solo, quartet, film, ensemble. Watch this space.
