This movement from Sadie Harrison’s ‘Gallery’, is like the rest of the series, based on one of my drawings. However, the day after recording it, I found myself transfixed by Graham Sutherland’s painting of damage in the City of London during the Blitz ‘City: Devastation, twisted girders’.The sheer ferocity of Sadie’s writing has given me fresh eyes for this extraordinary painting.
